Here for Auction OnlyIs a Westminster chime Perivale mantle clock. It chimes on the quarters, 4 hammers hitting the chime rods to produce the Westminster chime tune. One set of chimes at the quarter past, then 2 sets at half past. 3 sets at the quarter to, then 4 sets of chimes at the hour, followed by 2 hammers striking the hours on 2 of the 4 chime rods. There is a silence lever on the clock face. The case has been cleaned French polished, varnished keeping the original patina. The movement has been taken apart and re bushed where needed, then cleaned in an ultrasonic tank,pivots polished the bushes cleaned with pegwood, and the movement polished and re lubricated with clock oil. The springs have been taken out of their barrels cleaned and re lubricated, with specialist lubrication, re photos. The clock has been tested with 2 wind downs and no issues found.The clock runs for about a week on a full winding.As with all mantle clocks it will need setting up in its new home. I will send details on how to get the clock into beat and a link to you tube. The approx dimensions of the clock are as follows 12"ins long x8"3/4 high x6"ins deep. It has a nice brass chapter ring and brass bezel. Large brass pendulum bob. Please study the photographs carefully as these form part of the description. Any questions please send a message. If the clock develops a fault within a year I will do my best to rectify it. Buyer can collect, it can be posted via parcel force or I may deliver within a 60 mile radius of Bramhall, Cheshire for the cost of time and fuel to be agreed before delivery. I have now increased the dispatch time to 4 days , but it may be dispatched in 2 days depending when parcel force collect from my address.
