Vintage Heal and Sons (Heals) limed oak headboard with built-in light - single

Vintage 1930s limed oak Heal and Sons (Heals) headboard with built in lighting. Beautiful carved decoration to the edge. Nice fielded panel to centre with mitred decorative corners with carved design. Bedroom suite to the same design sold at Charterhouse Antiques Auctions on 20th June 2019 - all pieces with Heals Ivorine inserts - supporting the assertion that this is indeed a Heals and Sons piece. The reading electric lights works and are in good order - however this would need to be PAT-tested for safety. The headboard is a mixture of solid oak construction with some oak veneering (for example, the decorative fielded panel to centre).The dimensions are: 48 inches wide by 45 inches high, with the opening being 30 inches wide. It is 3 inches deep. Would suit either a standard single divan (normally 3ft wide) or the 3/4 bed (large single) divan (normally 42 inches wide or 3ft 6 in).That is 122cm wide x 114cm high x 8cm depth.A lovely warm limed colour that belies the age of the bed - making it look very contemporary but also fitting into the late Arts and Crafts aesthetic.
