Antique French Carved Double Bed Frame

Offering for sale this beautiful 19th century fruitwood double bed frame with a large carved headboard, footboard and side rails. Traditional French bed flanked by imposing pillars with a stunning carved pediment and large finials.

The bed is in overall lovely condition boasting a warm patina, so expect to find light marks, surface scratches and old indentations. Signs of woodworm found although fully treated out of caution. You won’t be disappointed with this amazing bed, it’s solid heavy wood and looks fantastic. The bed has been carefully cleaned, waxed and polished to preserve the beautiful patina.

Full depth 143 cm

Internal 130 x 190 cm (mattress size)

The measurement between the side rails is 130 cm (internal)

The measurement across the top of the side rails is 138 cm so if you have a slatted base that fits inside the side rails your double mattress should fit nicely.

You will need a bed base or fixed slatted base and depending on how low or high you want your mattress

We can arrange delivery throughout the UK at competitive prices. We use DHL for smaller pieces and reputable furniture couriers for larger items.

Delivery times can vary depending on your location, parcel carriers within a few days and furniture couriers within 7-14 days. Furniture couriers will contact you in advance to arrange a suitable delivery time.

All of the goods I'm selling are vintage/antique therefore you will find natural imperfections and age related marks. Some furniture may have signs of woodworm, this is always treated thoroughly and filled where necessary.

If you are looking for perfect shiny items then this probably isn't for you, however if you love pieces that are interesting with lots of character please go ahead and bid.
