SHAPLAND AND PETTER OAK WALL CABINET WITH COPPER PANEL & HINGES 31 x 45cms. Really lovely small and useful Shapland and Petter wall or free standing cabinet in superb condition, having recently been sympathetically restored to a golden oak colour whilst still retaining the original feel and look. Height 45.5, Width 31, Depth of cabinet 17cms, Depth of overhanging top is 20cms? The door is inset with a repousse copper panel, with copper hinges completing the decoration. It has the original lock, stamped S&P B (Shapland & Petter Barnstaple) and key. Stamped 110 on the back and with two small holes to allow for wall fixing. At some time in it’s life (though not recently) the small shelf has been replaced - the replacement shelf is not fixed. Apart from a small depression in the arrow head part of the lower hinge there is no other obvious damage but please do examine the photos carefully as they form part of the description - please contact me if you have any questions or require further photos.Shapland and Petter furniture is highly collectible and this is a desirable piece decorated with the copper panel. It would make an ideal bathroom cabinet or suit any arts and crafts or art nouveau setting. It’s survived remarkably well over the last 100+ years but do please bear in mind that it is an antique.Will be well packed and sent on a signed for, insured service, UK postage only.
