Late1800s Pakara (Double Basket) used for carrying personal items such as medicines and feathers by the Waiwai Tribe from Guyana, the basket is woven from scraped and unscripted cane in a geometrical pattern and decorated with scarlet macaw feathers and a darker feather cut to form zig-zag edges and tied with mukru cordage.
