Item Description
Ercol Windsor Mid Century Retro Sideboard On Castors By Lucian Ercolani
From the 1968 Ercol catalogue: “A particularly interesting design with its low and pleasing proportions. It is a very roomy sideboard made even more attractive by the gently curved surfaces of the doors and drawers which emphasise the natural graining of the solid elm and is a particularly good example of designing to characteristics of materials. Inviting oval shaped handles nestle in recesses sculptured from the solid wood. The mitred doors have secret tenons interlocked by treble cross pinning for extra strength. Both cupboards have adjustable shelves. The top drawer has a sliding lift-out cutlery tray with adjustable divisions. Mounted on semi-concealed castors, this big sideboard can be moved at finger touch.”
In good condition, one of the drawer knobs is broken (please see pictures), and has some surface wear.
