Beautiful 1930s Art Deco Bedroom made from some tropical wood, I think it is Mango wood but I am not sure. The corners are decorated with Ebony woodwork and nacre (mother-of-pearl) inlay. It belonged to my grandmother and was bought for her wedding in 1940 in Belgium. The set consists of:- King Size bed (160x210cm) with high qualitity Feather&Black Pocket Sprung mattress and topper (the latter needs replacing) on top of slats, originally the bed had a spring box but we have removed that and replaced with slats. Disassembles easily.- 2 Side tables (40x40cm), his and hers, with a cabinet at the bottom, originally for bed pans. Covered with marble top (1 was broken but is fixed) - Large Wardrobe (210x60cm, 205cm heigh) with 2 sides for hanging clothes and the middle mirror part for folded items and 2 deep drawers underneath. - Dressing table with mirror (140x40cm), 4 small drawers either side of the mirror. and 1 large and 2 smaller drawers underneath. The mirror had an accident and is broken, it will need replacing. I have a chair that belongs to it if interested. The funiture is in good working order with minor scratches and imperfections due to the age. One mother-of-pearl inlay is missing, see picture. The wardrobe disassembles taking top and bottom off and middle bit as one block and sides and doors as a flat items. We had this bedroom ensured for £10,000 but it could be worth more, we never really had it valued. We are selling it as this will become the bedroom of my 10yr old son and he is not too keen on the furniture. If you would like to see more pictures, eg. of the inside, please message me, I will happily share. They have clothes in at the moment so I prefer not to put it here.
