Commonwealth. Zanzibar. 1895/96 and 1904 issues. M and U.
The back has full gum. (There is no photo of the back as I am limited to 12 images). The 2 1/2 on 1a 6p sepia has a couple of tiny wrinkles but is otherwise fine. Both Two and a Half overprint issues are fine.
CONDITION: This lot consists of one album page. There are 2 additional images of the page, plus 9 close-up images of selected stamps.Mint hinged and used. The stamps look to be in mainly either decent or fine condition but there will be the odd fault which the images may not show.Of the 5 stamps in the close-up images; The 2 1/2 on 2A blue is a scruffy looking thing with a strange mauve cancellation, which I am assuming is fiscal. The back has full gum. (There is no photo of the back as I am limited to 12 images). The 2 1/2 on 1a 6p sepia has a couple of tiny wrinkles but is otherwise fine. The 2 1/2 a stamp with the red overprint has some hinge remains and a little adherence to the back but is in decent condition. (The two similar adjacent stamps are fine with nice clean backs). Both Two and a Half overprint issues are fine. Of the other three similar stamps at the foot of the page, the orange has a diagonal crease, but the other two are fine. Smaller items are mailed on a stock card, which is protected by stiff cardboard to provide maximum protection. Stamps on pages will, whenever possible, be mailed still on the page, in a large board backed envelope. I will usually have to trim the pages for ease of posting. I have to use Customs labels on my mail, as I cannot send tracked or get proof of postage without them. I do the labels in such a way to reduce problems as much as I can, but Customs in some EU Countries will from time to time require duty to be paid. (This only seems to be an EU problem)!
I try to describe items as best as I can, and will indicate any faults where I see them. If you receive anything which you consider not properly described, or you are unhappy in any way with the items or service provided please contact me within 30 days after the end of the auction. If you wish to obtain expert opinion on any item, please let me know and I will extend this time to allow for expert examination to take place.
