Alfred Cox Mid Century WardrobeAlfred Cox walnut wardrobe on raised splayed legs, this item was made by a highly collectable cabinet maker.The Double wardrobe is in lovely mellow Honey Coloured Satin Walnut and has lovely 1950s vintage design with clean lines and angled flared side panels to the front.The wardrobe is one of the harder to find original 1950s pieces of bedroom furniture by Alfred cox. With its strong iconic 1950s design it is a ideal piece. Being a double wardrobe it has excellent amount of very useful storage / hanging space with 2 hanging rails, a useful upper storage compartment box and features in internal mirror.Alfred Cox was a great designer of post-war British furniture. He worked mainly with walnut and teak, designing and producing quality items of superb craftmanship that are much sought after today.Many of the Alfred cox furniture were sold through the leading quality department stores Heals, Harrods, Maples & Co etc. The wardrobe can be broken down to move around more easily.Dimensions (cm): 191 H x 124 W x 56 DCondition:Overall in very good vintage condition.
