This attractive antique oak writing desk, or bureau has been in my family for over sixty years. It is very solid (and heavy) and is in fairly good order (see photos). A few minor aspects need a little love and attention and, unfortunately, the keys for the flap and the drawers are missing.It has three full width drawers and one slightly less, to accommodate the writing flap supports. Behind the flap there are a variety of storage places, including a small cupboard, shelves, four normal drawers and two shallow ones for small items, such as paperclips.The dimensions are: Width: 46" or 115 cm, Height: 41" or 104 cm, Depth: 22" or 55cm.IMPORTANT for as long as I have known this item, it has been partnered with an older cupboard that sat on top. Small pieces of wood have been added to the top of this piece to hold the cupboard in place. You can see the combined items in the last photo.
