This auction is for an antique Arts & Crafts/Art Nouveau style wooden wardrobe / linen cupboard. It features four solid wood shelves which can be removed if you wish to use the hanging rail (which has been added at a later date and can be added or removed as required).The wardrobe can be dismantled for moving, and splits down into a solid base with two drawers, a solid top section, two sides, two doors and a two-part rear panel. Dismantling the unit is very simple, and involves the removal of four internal screws which tie the base and top to the side panels.The unit can best be described as well used; there are some small marks and scratches in places to the wooden body, the main mirror has some marking to the rear coating at the bottom, the lock for the two drawers in the base is missing its key (although the drawers open and close freely), and the lock on the main door is seized (the key for this lock is present, however). Having said that, the wooden body is very solid and all of the original bevelled mirrors are complete and free from cracks. With a little TLC this wardrobe could be brought back into excellent condition.The wardrobe is collection only and is located in Reading, Berkshire. As noted above, it can be dismantled for transporting.
