DESCRIPTION:This is a superb impressive antique William IV fusee bracket clock which has the wonderful and rare feature of being complete with it's original bracket. The clock is a wonderful design typical of the William IV period and is signed with the makers name 'KAISER 30 Park Terrace, Regents Park'.
The clock is an exquisite shape and incorporates some wonderful mahogany veneers. The bracket is also superb having a lovely shaped support and as with the clock incorporates some wonderful mahogany veneers. The top of the bracket fits the feet of the clock neatly.
The bezel over the glass is cast brass and is opened by releasing the lock to the left side. The off white dial is in lovely original condition and is set out with Roman numerals and is signed to the centre 'KAISER 30 Park Terrace, Regents Park'. The clock is then raise on bun feet.
To the rear the door has a glass panel to the door which is complete with it's lock and is opened by a key. The pendulum is held in place by a travel nut when being moved.
The clock has an 8-day duration fusee movement and is happily ticking and chiming away and keeping good time. The clock comes complete with it's winding key, pendulum and two door keys which open the bezel to the front and the back door.
DIMENSIONSThe approximate dimensions of the clock are:- 11 1/2 inches / 29 cm wide- 6 1/4 inches / 16 cm deep- 13 inches / 33 cm high
The approximate dimensions of the clock are:- 11 3/4 inches / 30 cm wide- 6 1/2 inches / 16.5 cm deep- 7 1/4 inches / 18.5 cm high
The overall height of the clock and bracket together is approximately 20 inches / 51 cm as the clock fits into the bracket.
AGE:The clock is William IV and dates to circa 1830.
CONDITION:The case is in good condition as can be seen from the photographs especially considering it is around 190 years old, just minor marks commensurate with age and use and there is a fine shrinkage line to the top of the case. The dial is in original condition and has age related marks as can be seen from the photographs, also just around the winding hole there must have been a few chips to the paint which has been touched up please see the close up photograph of the dial. The movement is stunning quality fusee. The clock is happily ticking and chiming away and keeping good time.
