Here we have for sale a lovely period Longcase clock late 18th Century. eight day duration which strikes each hour on a bell . The case made of oak with mahogany banding on a nice shaped long Door. The trunk with Mahogany half turned columns to the sides, and the hood mainly mahogany with mahogany turned columns, the clock standing 89 inches high including the brass finial, with a width of 21.5 inches at the widest part .The movement has recently had a clean and oiled with new gut lines and the case been restored to bring it back to it's former glory and is ready to display in the home ,and requires no further restoration . The fantastic white arch painted dial with birds of paradise featured is a very nice touch and in excellent condition having Thomas Johnson of Ballyclare painted on the dial. fitted with nice period hands. Complete with 2 weights pendulum and winding crank key. All in all a lovely period Longcase clock which would grace any home. Please study the photos as these form part of the description.
