Unbelievably stunning, well made, rare Gordon Russell solid oak bench.

I have been in contact with the Gordon Russell museum in London and they have informed me this piece was made by W H Russell in 1938 (design number 1342) and, unlike most of these pieces, this one was a rare piece that was stained and polished for indoor use, they were mainly made for use in gardens etc.

There are no others like this for sale currently, I believe the others are in the museum so this really is a rare one off beauty that would be a stand out feautute in any home or business.

I had planned on sanding and whitewashing this piece but given it’s history and pure natural beauty I can not touch it and want it to go to someone as is to really appreciate the craftsmanship that went into building this piece.

Given it’s age, there are some marks but nothings that doesn’t add to the authenticity and beauty.

The bench measures 180cm long, 45cm high and 30cm wide.
