Antique French Empire Mahogany Sleigh Bed for Dolls. Made in France circa 1825, this fabulous sleigh bed is a masterpiece ~ a true piece de resistance ~ and perfect for Brus and fashion poupees. Made of mahogany from the West Indies, the bed's age has given the wood a rich patina. Included is the original mattress, made of a linen fabric, stuffed with sawdust or straw. The condition of this bed is excellent. The mattress is in great condition, with only a few minor age stains. The pillow, bed linens and quilt are not available for sale. The doll, a 24" Jumeau Portrait Fashion, and the dresser are not included with bed, but shown to give idea of size of bed. See doll listed separately.
