Antique French fruitwood armoire door, architectural salvage sourced from Cognac in the Dordogne.
Recently sourced from a reputable French dealer based in Cognac in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine région of western France, a beautiful reclaimed French armoire door.
This fruitwood door displays a particularly attractive patina having been recently waxed, with evidence of original circular saw marks marks to the rear. It retains its original hinges.
Doors of this genre make a great decorative statement when strategically positioned in contemporary interiors, as we witnessed last summer in the Michelin acclaimed L'Avant Port restaurant in Saint-Martin-de-Ré on Île de Ré. LAST TWO IMAGES.
