|Condition||This is a fine quality antique Victorian mahogany sideboard, of small proportions, incorporating four doors and a serpentine breakfront design, circa 1860, in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The sideboard has been cleaned and French polished by hand, to a professional standard, in our workshop. Therefore, the colour and patination of mahogany is of an excellent standard. There are no stains or watermarks to the top. The drawer and doors close flush to the frame; they are not warped and there are no splits to the door panels. The drawers are mahogany lined and feature dovetail construction and quarter beaded interior (a sign of quality). The left-hand, centre-right & right-hand doors retain their original working locks (with working keys) and the centre-right door retains the original brass sliding bolt latches. The carcass is solid in joint no missing veneers|
