Antique Bronze Pair of Pan Satyr Candle Sticks Decorative Item mid /late 1800's

Lovely Pair of  Bronze Antique Satyr / Pan Figures Candle Sticks - Male & Female!The male and female Pan / Satyr figures are bronze and mounted on a reddish marble base.Very authentic and original!Probably from around 1850s / 1870s.This type of figure was very popular around that period and represents a mythological creature. Pan or Satyr figures were portrayed both in male and female form; very often as a pair if a female was involved.They have pointed ears, a little tail on the back and hairy legs with hooves (upper half human, lower half goat).The male also has horns on top of his head and a long beard.Both carry an urn which then features as a candlestick holder. Each figure is  24 cm /9.5" high, and about 9cm /3.5" wide and 9cm / 3.5" deep, incl the marble base.The male weighs 1690 g and the female 1770 g.Due to the weight and value, please contact me if you live abroad, so we can work out international postage costs Please take a look at my other items, pens, militaria, decorative items, all sorts!
