Condition	The condition of the wardrobe is excellent, with light scuffs and marks. The wardrobe would have started life as a compactum wardrobe, but this has been altered professionally to the two door wardrobe. The only signs of the alteration are on the cornice where you can see the join to the moulding. Overall a very good quality wardrobe with lots of storage ready to be used.

A Gillows of Lancaster Oak Mirror Fronted Two Door Wardrobe Great Storage

A large quality Gillows of Lancaster oak mirror fronted two door wardrobe, with great storage area. The wardrobe is made from oak, which has a good colour and grain patination. The wardrobe is formed with the base being bombe shaped and being set with two drawers each with shaped fronts. The edges of the drawers are cross-banded in mahogany. The main body of the wardrobe is two compartments each with a single door. Each door is set with a full length bevel edged shaped dressing mirror. Opening the left hand door it is set with with a clothes rail, and various pegs. To the back there are fitted panels. The panels can be fitted up or undone and lowered down to make the inside have shelves instead. The right hand is just fitted with a clothes rail and pegs. To the top is has a stepped cornice. The wardrobe is set with all its its original brass fitting and handles, all marked for Gillows of Lancaster. The wardrobe is of a great quality lots of panelling oak inside. Overall a very good wardrobe with lots of storage area. The wardrobe dates to around 1960. The wardrobe splits down into four section for ease of moving.
